Who We Are
Dr. S. Lata is a distinguished academician, clinician, and clinical researcher with over 15 years of experience. Currently a Professor in the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics at Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, KIIT Deemed to be University, Bhubaneswar, she has established herself as a leader in her field
Dr. Lata completed her BDS from SCB Dental College & Hospital, Cuttack (2004), and her MDS from Government Dental College & Hospital, Thiruvananthapuram (2008). During her postgraduate studies, she excelled by winning numerous awards for her scientific papers and posters at state and national conferences.
As an academician and postgraduate guide, Dr. Lata has mentored many students on research and applied clinical topics, leading to more than 25 publications in high-impact national and international journals. Notably, her 2022 publication in “Materials Today Bio” has an impressive impact factor of 10.761. Her work on remineralization of incipient carious lesions has garnered 350 citations, reflecting the high regard for her research.
Dr. Lata’s expertise extends beyond academia. For the past three years, she has served as a subject expert, super mentor, and expert reviewer for various start-up projects by young scientists and entrepreneurs under BIRAC, an initiative by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India.
In recognition of her contributions, Dr. Lata was inducted into the National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS), India, in 2022. This prestigious institution harnesses academic excellence to meet medical and social goals.

In addition to his academic role, Dr. Mohanty is the Co-Founder and Director of The Pulp Dental Care, a leading dental clinic known for its state-of-the-art facilities and patient-centered care. As the Chief Consultant Endodontist and Cosmetologist, he specializes in advanced endodontic treatments and cosmetic dental procedures, ensuring his patients achieve optimal oral health and aesthetics.
